Be found on Google
So, how do we get you on the first page of Google?
Well, there are three ways to get there.
Pay Per Click or PPC is the easiest and quickest way to get there. These are the listings (actually advertisements) at the very top of the page and sometimes at the bottom of the page
Google My Business is also known as “Google Maps” and is part of the “free” results that come up when you do a search for a local business
Google Organic is the part of the “free” results that generally apply to the whole world but also come up in a search for a local business
Pay per Click advertisements which are also known as “AdWords” are at the very top of the page and are clearly marked as an “Ad”.
People pay anywhere from $1 to $5 every time someone clicks on their ad and goes to their website.
This can be an effective form of advertising, but it can get very expensive if it is not done right.
Google My Business listings are in the middle and are associated with the Map.
These listings can be influenced by where you are in the city when you type in your search. For example, if you are in the southeast corner of the city, you might see businesses that are physically close to you, especially if you are on a mobile device.
People often refer to these listings as the “3 pack map listing” since there are only 3 spots available
Organic listings are below the map listings and there are almost always 10 spots available here.
Every local business should strive to be found here since it is almost always achievable with good search engine optimization (SEO)
